In this video, Summer Tanagers are eating Bark Butter (spreadable suet) on a locally made cedar feeder log. Note the difference in coloration between males and females. There is another color variation not captured here in which young males entering their first spring are changing from yellow to the red more typical of an adult male. I refer to these young males as "Calico Tanagers."
